Fool's Leap

Fool’s Leap is a performance piece, a collage of original songs, poems and scenes, delicate, playful, and mysterious. Drawing on Shakespeare’s King Lear and Ariel’s song from The Tempest, the work explores themes of transformation, cycles in life, mystery, fooling and dreaming.

“Fool’s Leap is a quietly spellbinding work, part theatre, ritual, and performance art. Playful, haunting and deeply absorbing”
Katie Heller, Global Art Manager at Paul Smith

“What a piece! As someone who spends a lot of time thinking about / evaluating / contributing towards works of art that seek to tackle the difficult territory between eco-driven collapse and active hope, I found it an original venture, a thing of beauty.”
Dr. Rupert Read, creator of the ‘Thrutopia’ concept and author, ‘Why climate breakdown matters’ (Bloomsbury Press).

“Now more than ever we need work like Orlando’s. He and his lovely group create something so gentle, so joyful, so dreamy. It’s a balm for the soul. Please give them whatever support you can to ensure we have more of them.”
